One capsule a day vs three

Natural T is taken as three capsules a day, timed around food. BOOST is one capsule a day. For anyone already managing a daily stack — vitamin D3, omega-3, maybe magnesium, maybe creatine — the capsule count matters. One capsule is easier to remember and easier to stay consistent with over a 90-day run, which is the window the research on BOOST's patented botanicals was actually built around.

Vitamins and minerals, like for like

Vitamins and minerals are the one area you can genuinely compare dose-to-dose, because both labels use the same units and UK Nutrient Reference Values. Here's how the two formulas stack up on the shared nutrients:

Nutrient BetterMan Labs Himmense BOOST
Zinc 10 mg (100% NRV), picolinate 15 mg (150% NRV), citrate
Vitamin D3 5 μg (100% NRV) 25 μg / 1000 IU (500% NRV)
Magnesium 60 mg citrate (~3% NRV) 110 mg (29% NRV), bisglycinate
Selenium 55 μg (100% NRV) 8.25 μg (15% NRV)

Nothing to spin here. BOOST runs heavier on zinc, vitamin D3 and magnesium. Natural T runs heavier on selenium. And BOOST adds five nutrients Natural T doesn't carry at all — vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and folate (as L-5-MTHF).

Two of those additions matter beyond "more things in the capsule". Both zinc and vitamin B6 carry authorised GB health claims directly relevant to men's hormone physiology:

  • Zinc contributes to the maintenance of normal testosterone levels in the blood.
  • Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.

These are the only two authorised health claims under the GB regime that relate to male hormones. BOOST carries both. Natural T carries one.

The botanical and herbal ingredients

Nine botanicals appear in one formula or the other. We've deliberately not built a "who has more milligrams" comparison on the herbs because the two labels declare them differently — one quotes extract weight, the other quotes herb-equivalent weight. A mg-to-mg table would mislead readers either way. Instead, here are the ingredients and how each brand uses them.

Ingredient BetterMan Labs Natural T Himmense BOOST
Ashwagandha KSM-66®, 100 mg (patented extract) KSM-66® 12:1 extract, ≥5% withanolides (patented)

Why BOOST leaves five popular ingredients out

When we built BOOST, we set one filter at the start: every active in the capsule has to have its own peer-reviewed human clinical evidence at a daily dose close to what we're using. That filter kept the ingredient count tight — and intentionally left out a handful of ingredients that often show up in "test booster" formulas. Here is where the published research currently sits on each, as of 2026. None of this is a knock on the ingredients — they may well be proven over time. It is simply the evidence base today.

  • Fadogia agrestis — the published research on testosterone effects is overwhelmingly in male rats. A placebo-controlled randomised trial in human men showing a testosterone effect has not been published.
  • D-aspartic acid (DAA) — one 2009 human trial showed a short-term increase. Subsequent randomised placebo-controlled trials in resistance-trained men have not replicated that effect, and some have shown no change or a reduction in free testosterone.
  • Epimedium (horny goat weed) — most of the human research is on isolated compounds for other indications, not on standardised epimedium extract taken daily as a testosterone-support ingredient.
  • Boron — some short, small human trials at higher pharmacological doses; the evidence for a long-term daily effect at supplement doses is thinner.
  • Niacin (vitamin B3) — essential nutrient, but direct randomised trial evidence tying daily niacin supplementation to testosterone outcomes is limited. It appears in some stacks more for its general role in energy metabolism than for a hormone-specific effect.

BOOST is built around ingredients that have cleared a different bar: KSM-66® Ashwagandha, Testofen® Fenugreek, PrimaVie® Shilajit, Tesnor® and ForsLean® all have their own peer-reviewed human randomised trials at the doses used in the capsule. That is a design choice, not an accident — we would rather carry fewer ingredients, each backed by published human data, than a longer list where part of it is leaning on early-stage evidence.

Which one suits who

BetterMan Labs Natural T may suit you if: you're specifically looking for a formula that includes Fadogia agrestis, Epimedium, D-aspartic acid and boron — reading the evidence section above and still wanting them in — you don't mind taking three capsules a day, and you want niacin in the daily blend.

Himmense BOOST may suit you if: you want a science-led formula where every active is backed by its own published human clinical evidence at the daily dose, one capsule a day, patented standardised extracts (KSM-66, Testofen, PrimaVie Shilajit, Tesnor, ForsLean, BioPerine) rather than generic herb powders, shilajit included in the daily capsule rather than sold separately, and a complete B-complex plus vitamins C, D and E alongside zinc, magnesium and selenium.

If you also want the lower per-day cost with a 12-month commitment, higher zinc and vitamin D3 doses on authorised GB claims (zinc for normal testosterone, B6 for hormonal activity), a 4.8★ Trustpilot rating with an 89% 5-star share, and a UK brand that doesn't run discount codes or seasonal sales — BOOST is the stronger pick.

Frequently asked questions

Is BetterMan Labs a UK brand?
BetterMan Labs is sold by a London-registered company. Both brands dispatch from the UK.

How many BetterMan Labs capsules do you take a day?
Three, taken with water around food. Himmense BOOST is one capsule a day.

Does BetterMan Labs Natural T contain shilajit?
No. BetterMan sells shilajit as a separate product (Shilajit Gummies, £24.99). Himmense BOOST includes PrimaVie® Shilajit (patented, ≥50% fulvic acid) inside the daily capsule.

Why doesn't Himmense BOOST contain Fadogia agrestis or D-aspartic acid?
BOOST was formulated science-first: every active in the capsule has its own peer-reviewed human clinical trial at a daily dose close to the one used. The published human-trial evidence on Fadogia agrestis is overwhelmingly in rats, and the human trial evidence on D-aspartic acid has not consistently replicated the early 2009 finding. We'd rather carry fewer ingredients, each backed by published human data, than a longer list leaning on early-stage evidence.

Which is cheaper per day: BetterMan Labs or Himmense BOOST?
At the one-off single-pack price, BetterMan Labs Natural T is £1.10/day and Himmense BOOST is £1.17/day. On Himmense's 12-month plan, BOOST drops to £0.87/day — the lowest standing price either brand offers on a single product.

What's the difference between BetterMan Natural T and "Herbal Test Booster 2.0"?
Same product. The URL still reads "2.0" — the product is sold as Natural T today, and a "3.0" bundle is listed on the BetterMan homepage.

Can I take BOOST and BetterMan Labs together?
Not recommended. The two formulas share zinc, magnesium, vitamin D3, ashwagandha and fenugreek, so taking both could push some micronutrients over the UK recommended daily intake. Pick one and give it 90 days of consistent daily use.

How long before I notice anything?
Subjective changes in energy, sleep or motivation typically appear in 2 to 6 weeks for both brands. The clinical trials behind BOOST's patented actives ran for 8 to 12 weeks — give any natural testosterone-support formula a full 90 days of daily use before judging whether it suits you.

Is Himmense BOOST clinically tested?
BOOST is formulated using patented extracts that have their own published human clinical trials (KSM-66®, Testofen®, PrimaVie®, Tesnor®, ForsLean®). The finished Himmense BOOST formula is third-party batch tested for purity and label accuracy.
